I was SUPER excited today to see my Surtex flyers on the amazing Print & Pattern blog today - yippee!
This is link if you would like to check it out: http://printpattern.blogspot.com.au/ My book 'Zoo Fun' published by The Five Mile Press was in a photo in the newspaper today - I almost spilt my coffee when I saw it! My book is being looked at by four year old Rachel and Neville the Tortoise.
These are printer proofs of two of my newest books - 'Up, Down, Across' and 'Small, Smaller, Smallest', to be published later this year by Simon & Schuster. These lovely books aim to introduce little kids to the concepts of location and measurement. I am super proud of the illustrations in these books - it was a challenging format to work with - the amazing paper engineering is by Corina Fletcher. Check out the slide out panels on the covers!
I recently discovered this beautiful book 'You Are Stardust' written by Elin Kelsey and illustrated by Soyeon Kim - gorgeous, inspirational and educational.
I am a member of the very wonderful Illustrators Australia, and I was very pleased to be asked to contribute an interview to their latest edition of Outline magazine. The edition was about kid's books, and features some very talented people - feeling pretty happy that I made the cut. Here is a screen shot of the first page of my interview - sorry I can't show the rest but you have to be an IA member!
These are two of my favourite spreads from the 'My Turn to Learn' series of books that I illustrated.
