A little bit about me…
Hello - my name is Natalie, I am an illustrator, author and designer. I went to university and graduated with an honours degree in graphic design and an illustration award from the Melbourne Art Directors Club. For a long time I designed corporate identities and annual reports but a few years ago I changed my career… now I draw all day and make books for kids - which is amazing fun.
My books have been published both locally and internationally by a range of publishers including Simon & Schuster, Scholastic US, Little Brown, The Five Mile Press, SmartInk Books, Little Bee, Langue Au Chat and Helium. My illustrations have licensed to American Greetings, Hallmark and Papyrus and have appeared on packaging for a variety of products, from talcum powder to blueberries. I also produce my own range of greeting cards for my Little Red Owl label and make school lunches for my kids.
Here are a few of the titles I have illustrated, and I wrote some of them too!:
- The Big Book of Happy
- The Big Book of Silly
- Small, Smaller, Smallest
- Up, Down, Across
- Tiny Creatures, a Touch & Feel book
- Baby Animals, a Touch & Feel book

I live near the beach with my bike-loving husband and my two busy children but I have also lived and worked in New York and London. I can't start my day without a coffee, I love blue nail polish, riding my bike, swimming, running and eating any food that I did not have to cook... and I have an Australian Koolie called Obi Wan.
I am a member of the wonderful Illustrators Australia.
